When we are overwhelmed by fear and guidance becomes necessary, we find ourselves locked up in our Ego, unable to surrender. This performance aims at investigating the different thoughts and perceptions that inhabit the human being, especially when darkness is deep and we try desperately to find the hidden light that could show us the way out and comfort us.

A tale between voice and body based on the archetypal figure of EROS. A performance that faces the contrasts and differences that arise when intimate relationships come into play.

The bodies and voices of the performers create a microcosm of warlike, erotic, playful, sophisticated impulses, which identify various aspects of the concept of EROS, generating a stage action that highlights the concreteness of relationships and their continuous changing according to needs.

The whale’s belly is the final destination of many shipwrecks, the womb that hosts birth, rebirth and redemption of the castaway in a physical and visceral way.

The performance is a journey backwards, from an image of foetal gestation back to the violent act of the shipwreck. The symbiotic bodies recognize each other, their substances merge and a slowed, muffled amniotic fluid connected to itself replaces the earth, in a creation where the richness of textures defines its Element.

The whale’s belly is just a frame of the shipwreck. It shows the moment the storm dies down and the opportunity is given to expand time and narrow space.

The castaway is like a Pinocchio, a child who was never conceived and therefore never born and needs to return to the womb of a mammal to find the link with his/her place in the world, make atonement and proceed to his/her own redemption, to be born finally in flesh and blood.
