Eva Luna Betelli, a physical artist, develops an exploration of the body image as a translation of philosophical reflections on current events. Defending an embodied thought, she searches for a body that becomes an antenna of the era, capable of absorbing the current feeling and returning it through a corporeal metaphor. Her hybrid practice combines the languages of contemporary circus with those of research dance, investigating an extra-ordinary corporeality that offers photographs of a fragmented today.
. The focus on the image in his physical practice is meant to be a cut into the present for the opening of a space of shared reflection between artist and audience. After a degree in philosophy, in 2017 she graduated as an aerial acrobat at the Flic School in Turin. In 2022 she received the Adelaide Ristori Prize as best actress with La Singolarità di Schwartzschild. She is currently a performer in the show Golem, which won the Biennale Regia Under 35 2024 award, and she is the author of Critters, a contemporary research dance solo.
