SUMMARY:20 anni senza bene
DESCRIPTION:Acoustic installation –I Canti Orfici by Dino Campana according to Carmelo Bene at Chiesa di Santa Maria dell’Angelo. \n \nTwenty years without Bene is an acoustic installation dedicated to Carmelo Bene twenty years after his death. \nA tribute to one of the greatest theatre men and to Dino Campana\, the poet from Marradi\, who immortalized the city of Faenza in many of his lyrics. \nWe offer the audience a thoughtful selection of the work of Carmelo Bene and Dino Campana\, published by Bompiani in 1999\, in an unusual ambience. The audience sits in total darkness and listens to Bene’s voice singing Campana’s lyrics. \nFour loudspeakers guarantee an all-embracing and captivating listening\, that enhances the dreamlike and visionary dimension of Campana’s poetry and the sound and musical quality of Bene’s voice. \nAn installation-concert for solo voice\, minimal and evocative\, bare and powerful\, which borrows from Bene’s experiments on phoné and offers the audience a journey into Dino Campana’s verse in their doing and undoing of pure orality. \n  \nI Canti Orfici \nI Canti Orfici by Dino Campana represented for Carmelo Bene an ideal frame to test his research on phoné over more than twenty years. \nThe discovery of Campana by Bene dates back to the early 1960s\, but it was only in 1982 when Bene first performed I Canti Orfici in the form of a concert. Since then\, Campana’s masterpiece was recorded several times on stage\, radio\, and television up to the publication of Carmelo Bene’s book Dino Campana I Canti Orfici\, published by Bompiani in 1999. \nOn the one hand\, Carmelo Bene’s insistence on the variations around the work of Dino Campana reflects his critical and poetic need to source from poetry in its making and subtract it from the idea of the oral dead. On the other hand\, it reflects the troubled literary genesis of this poetical work. Composed in 1913 under the title Il più lungo giorno\, it was rewritten and printed the following year\, after the loss of the original manuscript (which will only be found in 1971). It was printed again in 1928 without the author’s consent with significant variations\, and again in 1928 in a new edition\, more faithful to the first draft. \nDino Campana died in an asylum in Florence in 1932. His fortune as a poet and his appreciation among the great poets of the twentieth century is inextricably linked to Carmelo Bene’s work and research.

Festival originally from Anziano sarai tu! project \nPractice coordination by Silvia Gribaudi \n  \nUnison practices in town – actions scattered between nature\, the historic centre and city parks \nBeing space with Laura Moro \nCorps de ballet with Silvia Gribaudi \nThe flock with Franca Zagatti \nThe three practices will be connected by the coordination of Silvia Gribaudi who will lead the group from one space to another in the city. The theme is UNISON. \n  \nWhat does it mean today to be a body and a community? \nHow to be a unison within a spontaneous action? \nHow to be a unison in a group made of individuals of different age\, corporeality\, rhythm\, and energy? \nHow do bodies relate to places? \nCan we understand each other even from a distance? How? \n  \nWe look forward to dancing together with you! \nThe practices are open for people from 14 to 90 years old. Please wear clothing suitable for physical activity. \nWorkshops are free of charge\, but it is necessary to reserve your spot at prenotazioniwamfestival@gmail.com \n  \nUNISON \nUNISON originates from Anziano sarai TU! project\, founded in 2021 in collaboration with the city of Faenza and the artists Silvia Gribaudi\, Laura Moro\, and Franca Zagatti. The goal of the project was to respond to the time suspension and forced distances of recent years. Initially designed for the over 60s\, it is now open to other age groups (from 14 to 90 years old) to experiment with them new ways of socializing and meeting through a collective performative path.

SUMMARY:Progetto D.R.OP.
DESCRIPTION:Contemporary dance performance at Arena Borghesi. \nArtistic direction: Elisa Pagani\nOrganization – tour manager: Camilla Vuolato\nRehearsal director: Chiara Merolla\nPerformers: Astrid Delombaerde\, Sara Febert\, Cecilia Franceschelli\, Gaia Latorre\, Melissa Salimbeni \nINSIDE \nChoreography by Lali Ayguadé\nMusic by Julia Kent\, Mac Quayle \nWhen we are overwhelmed by fear and guidance becomes necessary\, we find ourselves locked up in our Ego\, unable to surrender. This performance aims at investigating the different thoughts and perceptions that inhabit the human being\, especially when darkness is deep and we try desperately to find the hidden light that could show us the way out and comfort us. \nWISH \nChoreography by Antonello Tudisco\nMusic by Loscil\, Appart\, Pergolesi \nA tale between voice and body based on the archetypal figure of EROS. A performance that faces the contrasts and differences that arise when intimate relationships come into play. \nThe bodies and voices of the performers create a microcosm of warlike\, erotic\, playful\, sophisticated impulses\, which identify various aspects of the concept of EROS\, generating a stage action that highlights the concreteness of relationships and their continuous changing according to needs. \nLA PANCIA DELLA BALENA \nChoreography by Elisa Pagani\nMusic by Goldmund\, Aaron Martin & Machinefrabriek\, Gino Paoli \nThe whale’s belly is the final destination of many shipwrecks\, the womb that hosts birth\, rebirth and redemption of the castaway in a physical and visceral way. \nThe performance is a journey backwards\, from an image of foetal gestation back to the violent act of the shipwreck. The symbiotic bodies recognize each other\, their substances merge and a slowed\, muffled amniotic fluid connected to itself replaces the earth\, in a creation where the richness of textures defines its Element. \nThe whale’s belly is just a frame of the shipwreck. It shows the moment the storm dies down and the opportunity is given to expand time and narrow space. \nThe castaway is like a Pinocchio\, a child who was never conceived and therefore never born and needs to return to the womb of a mammal to find the link with his/her place in the world\, make atonement and proceed to his/her own redemption\, to be born finally in flesh and blood.

SUMMARY:NUBIVAGO
DESCRIPTION:Contemporary dance performance at Palestra Ex Scuole Cova. \nExercises for the remodelling of bonds by the group Le Pratiche del Corpo \nWith Anna Clara Conti\, Silvia Lippi\, Kate Pilbeam\, Lisa Silvagni\, Ilaria Stefani\, Eleonora Vacca\, Tatiana Zapata \nThe performers belonging to the choreographic research composition group Le Pratiche del Corpo challenge themselves In Nubivago. Different exercises involve the continuous remodelling of the state of presence and of the state of relationship. Cellular and subtle\, involving the whole group or just their own structure in a more profound and internal mood\, or fluid and in accordance with the currents of movement that cross the area. \nThe performers experience a precise compositional structure\, which allows for constant awareness of the state of the group as its basic frame. This structure provides the necessary anchorage for an immersion into a fluid and hyper-receptive search.

DESCRIPTION:Dance performance at Parco San Francesco. \n \nBy Cie les 3 Plumes\nChoreography by: Marco Augusto Chenevier\nPerformers: Marco Augusto Chenevier\, Alessia Pinto\, Marta Capaccioli\nProduction by: Cie Les 3 Plumes supported by Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta\nSupport for artistic residencies: Teatro Akropolis di Genova\, CapoTrave/Kilowatt Centro di residenza della Toscana\, Zut! Umbria Factory Festival\, Teatrul Maghiar de Stat Csiky Gergely in Timisoara (Romania)\, Wam Festival Faenza. \nThis long search began in the summer after the pandemic and originates from the need to regain possession of space and relationships. \nThis is why we started a journey that is taking us to different cities\, countries and natural environments. \nAnother goal is rethinking the form of the performance and transforming it into a physical walk\, that allows us to regain possession of our movement practices\, free from any technical frill: bodies\, space and time are our only tools. \nIn Faenza\, the city will be our playground\, our theatre. \nIn addition to public space\, we also want to rediscover relationships by meeting heterogeneous groups of citizens who will share with us a simple and effective improvisation system\, which allows us to improvise together after just a few hours. \nTHE WORKSHOP \nIt is how we get in touch with potential other dancers\, who wish to learn the improvisation system and practice the tools for movement creation. \nThese tools are accessible at all levels and allow the participants to push\, or not\, the virtuosity of the movement according to their possibilities\, and to enhance the skills and different abilities of each one. \nThis process allows us to easily create a relationship with professionals\, but also to include children and amateurs\, and to involve artists from other disciplines\, such as I Musicanti di San Crispino in Faenza. \nThe involvement of people with different abilities is also possible. \nWe will explore the relationships between the dancers\, focusing on space\, time\, and levels. \nThe improvisational system creates a strong unity even in very large spaces. \nThe simplicity of the relationship\, easily understood by observers\, allows to trace invisible connections even between very distant people and to focus on the different nuances and quality of these connections. \nThe mechanisms of contamination will be the result of mimesis\, which will be immediately modified by looking for contrasts in rhythm\, time\, and timbre. \nAfter training with common tools for movement creation\, the group will be able to choose how to make the leader’s proposal resonate in a unanimous but also distinguished way. The individual proposal will be transformed into a choir proposal and enriched with nuances and details. \nLike a flock of birds. \nPhoto by Petru Cojocaru Ziua \nWorkshops are free of charge\, but it is necessary to reserve your spot at prenotazioniwamfestival@gmail.com

DESCRIPTION:Unison itinerant practices open to all citizens – movement practices – at Piazza San Francesco. \nwith Silvia Gribaudi in IL CORPO DI BALLO \nOrganization by WAM!

SUMMARY:Un solo respiro
DESCRIPTION:Movement workshop open to all citizens at Arena Cinema Europa \nBy Cie les 3 Plumes\nChoreography by: Marco Augusto Chenevier\nPerformers: Marco Augusto Chenevier\, Alessia Pinto\, Marta Capaccioli\nProduction by: Cie Les 3 Plumes supported by Regione Autonoma Valle d’Aosta\nSupport for artistic residencies: Teatro Akropolis di Genova\, CapoTrave/Kilowatt Centro di residenza della Toscana\, Zut!
